Marc Orchant – You are in my thoughts and prayers…

I recently learned that Marc Orchant, tech guru, co-host of The Tablet PC Show, zdNet blogger, author on blognation and Albuquerque resident suffered a massive coronary on Sunday, December 2.

While I have not seen Marc in recent years, I first met him over 20 years ago. We were both graphic designers at the time. I stayed working in graphics design, but Marc went on to explore many different arenas. He worked for Subia which primarily served as a service bureau in those days, and was a writer for a magazine among other things. In 2001 went to work for a software developer in Albuquerque. Marc’s official title? “storyteller”.

Marc is a gadget and software freak, always experimenting with the latest – seeing just how far he can push the limits. Marc is a brilliant, and wonderful man, – one of the kindest you will ever meet. He also serves on the board of directors for the NM Information Technology and Software Association (NMITSA). Marc not only has made a mark in the Albuquerque community, but is known worldwide, as can be witnessed by the outpour of support for him. Just take a look at the community response on blognation.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Marc. To Sue and the kids – kind and gentle thoughts to you as well. Marc is currently in the Cardiac Care unit at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. Please take a few minutes to send him positive energy for a speedy recovery.

For those of you that wish to send flowers, cards, or other gifts, Marc is at:
