speaking at motion 2011

I’ll be speaking at motion, October 9-11, 2011 in ABQ. NM.

motion is a mind-bending two day ride – what we refer to as the “TED talks” of our industry. motion speakers are the top creative thinkers and innovators in motion graphics, animation, and vfx. A concept borrowed from TED, each speaker is on stage for 20 minutes giving the talk of their life on subjects they’re passionate about. Talks that revolutionize the industry. Talks that revitalize the creative muse.

As a bonus, I also demonstrate how you can integrate Apple Logic, bringing your MIDI sequences into Adobe Audition for final mastering.

Finally, we take a look at how you can use Audition’s History panel as a way to explore rack effects and other features of Audition – creating your own audio ‘playground’.

I recently wrote an article for ProVideo Coalition where I demonstrate how creating a workflow can save you time and money. What I’ve shared, is the workflow I use when creating episodes of motion+connect. I show how to bring single clips, multiple clips, and complete sequences from Premiere Pro to Adobe Audition – with and without video. We take a look at the roundtrip process of taking audio back into Premiere, and then, the ease of going back and forth between the two applications to make changes, sweeten the audio or master the final audio.
