Audition: Made for Video {part one}

I recently wrote an article for ProVideo Coalition where I demonstrate how creating a workflow can save you time and money. What I’ve shared, is the workflow I use when creating episodes of motion+connect. I show how to bring single clips, multiple clips, and complete sequences from Premiere Pro to Adobe Audition – with and without video. We take a look at the roundtrip process of taking audio back into Premiere, and then, the ease of going back and forth between the two applications to make changes, sweeten the audio or master the final audio.

I’m excited about Adobe’s new creative mobile apps! I just attended an online session that talked not only about Adobe Ideas, which many of us are already aware use regularly, but three new Adobe Photoshop mobile apps – Adobe Eazel, Adobe Nav, and Adobe Color Lava.

It’s official! Steve Forde has been named the new product manager for Adobe After Effects.
For years, Michael Coleman was the name we all associated with After Effects. Michael became hooked on CoSA After Effects 18 years ago with the very first release. And as they say – ‘the rest is history’. Highly regarded in the After Effects community, we were concerned when Michael announced earlier this year that he was moving on to another project at Adobe. The search for his replacement was on.

The Age Old Debate: Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro

I have been a long time Final Cut Pro user starting with Version 1. About a year ago, I made the decision to switch to Adobe Premiere Pro. For many years, video editors have debated the age-old question: which editing software is best. Is one program really better than the other? The answer? There is no answer. What’s right for one person or workflow, may not work for another. What I can share is what I’ve discovered from my experience.
